AT A GLANCE
Why go?
Swore Farms is a family-owned produce farm just north of Pocatello, Idaho, where generations of local families have shopped for fresh-picked sweet corn, tomatoes, and squash at the roadside farm stand—and where autumn brings a sprawling pumpkin patch, corn maze, and farm games that feel like a small-town carnival set among the rows.↗↗
Operating since 2001, the farm grows over forty varieties of vegetables, berries, herbs, and grains using minimal-pesticide practices and mainly organic fertilizer. Summer is for the CSA program and the farm garage; fall is for the 15-acre pumpkin patch, the educational corn maze, hay wagon rides, and a packed October event calendar.↗↗
The Farm & Its Produce
Swore Farms calls itself a minimalist, pesticide-free operation and grows everything from salad greens and peas in June to sweet potatoes and winter squash in late fall. The crop list runs long: cabbage, carrots, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, tomatoes, zucchini, leeks, garlic, turnips, cantaloupes, strawberries, raspberries, rhubarb, fresh herbs, honey, eggs, and straw. Wendy Swore, the farm's public face, can tell you what's in season on any given day—just call ahead.
