AT A GLANCE
Why go?
Antalya Zoo — officially known as Antalya Doğal Yaşam Parkı (Antalya Natural Life Park) — is a sprawling municipal wildlife park set within the Kepezaltı Picnic Area on the northwestern edge of Antalya. Opened in 1989 and managed by the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, the park covers approximately 650 dönüm (roughly 65 hectares) of green, hilly terrain and is home to hundreds of animals across more than a hundred species. It's a place where big cats share a hillside with gazelles, flamingos wade in artificial ponds, and peacocks strut along walking paths lined with pines.↗↗↗
The zoo stands out in Turkey for its generous open landscape. Rather than a compact urban park, it sprawls across natural terrain with vegetation-rich enclosures, waterfalls, and ponds that give animals room to roam and visitors space to breathe. Admission is remarkably affordable by any standard, making it one of Antalya's most accessible family outings — a fact regular visitors highlight enthusiastically in reviews.↗↗
