Songjeong Beach
Songjeong Beach is Busan's surf mecca—a long, gently sloping stretch of sand where the East Sea meets the South Sea, producing reliable waves all year round. It is widely recognized as the birthplace of Korea's modern surfing culture, and its shallow, sandy bottom makes it the most welcoming coast in the country for first-timers. Even without a board, the laid-back atmosphere, waterfront cafes, and the bamboo-lined Jukdo Park at the beach's eastern tip give Songjeong a character distinctly different from its more famous neighbor, Haeundae.
