Whale Ecology Experience Hall (Jangsaengpo)
The Whale Ecology Experience Hall (고래생태체험관) in Jangsaengpo, Ulsan, is South Korea's first dolphinarium and the liveliest stop in the city's whale-themed waterfront cluster. Housed in a three-story building inside Jangsaengpo Maritime Park, it pairs an underwater dolphin tunnel and sea-creature aquariums with a hands-on animal zoo and a 4D whale theater, making it a favorite for families with children. Opened in November 2009 in a former whaling port, the hall frames the dolphin tanks and ecology exhibits around a diorama of old Jangsaengpo village life, so visitors trace the town's whaling past, its marine-ecology present and its conservation-minded future in a single visit that runs about an hour and a half.
