Livingston Manor Covered Bridge
The Livingston Manor Covered Bridge is one of the rare surviving roofed timber bridges of New York's Catskills, and a quiet, very photogenic landmark tucked into a county park in the village of Livingston Manor. Built in 1860 and lovingly restored to its original construction methods, this single-span Town lattice truss carries one lane of traffic across the Willowemoc Creek, a stream long celebrated by anglers. Its weathered wooden siding, low arch and stone-and-concrete abutments make it a favorite stop on Catskills scenic drives. It is the oldest of only four covered bridges still standing in Sullivan County, and the small park around it adds picnic areas, a pavilion and easy riverside access—so a quick bridge photo can become a relaxing half-day out fishing, picnicking or, in winter, snowshoeing.
