Alto de Garajonay
Alto de Garajonay is the highest point on the island of La Gomera at 1,487 metres, a sweeping natural balcony from which the entire canopy of Garajonay National Park unfolds beneath your feet. The summit viewpoint, accessible by car and via low-difficulty trails, reveals the island's green heart and — on clear days — the silhouettes of El Hierro, La Palma, Tenerife, and even Gran Canaria on the horizon. This is one of La Gomera's most rewarding stops: a place to understand the scale of the laurisilva forest, to witness the famous sea of clouds rolling over the ridgeline, to explore the island's most important archaeological site, and — after dark — to gaze up at one of the clearest skies in the Canaries.
