Lac Chaplin
Lac Chaplin is a small, unnamed-by-most lake set deep in the vast boreal wilderness of Lac-au-Brochet, an unorganized territory that covers more than 80% of La Haute-Côte-Nord on Quebec's Côte-Nord coast. There is no resort, no parking lot, and no paved road to its shore. What makes this spot worth knowing about is the territory itself — a true hunter's and angler's backcountry that stretches inland from the St. Lawrence to the 50th parallel, populated by outfitters who run speckled-trout trips and moose hunts across thousands of square kilometres of spruce, muskeg, and river.
