Wat Dong Sa Phang Thong

Wat Dong Sa Phang Thong is a beloved village temple in the Nong Na Kham area on the northeastern edge of Udon Thani city. Established in 1937, it serves as the spiritual heart of Ban Nong Sai community and is known locally for the abbot's generosity toward underprivileged families. The temple carries the Maha Nikaya tradition and received its royal ordination-hall boundary (wisunghamsima) in 1997, a milestone that formalized its role as a full monastic community. Today around eight monks reside here during the rainy-season retreat.
