Mount Magaera
Mount Magaera is a high, ice-draped summit in the Pacific Ranges of British Columbia's Coast Mountains, deep in the wild interior of the Squamish-Lillooet Regional District. It is not a sightseeing stop or a hike-in viewpoint but a true backcountry peak for advanced mountaineers — remote, glaciated, and far from any road. Standing at roughly 2,900 m (about 9,500 ft), it ranks among the taller summits in its regional district, its topographic maps carrying the names of surrounding glaciers. Published elevations differ between sources — from the mid-2,500 m range to just over 2,900 m — a small reminder of how little visited this corner of the range remains.
