Torvinen
Lake Torvinen is a small, peaceful body of water nestled on the border of Leppävirta and Heinävesi in Finland's Lakeland region, about 55 km southeast of Kuopio. Covering just 36.5 hectares with a maximum depth of 8 meters, it is the kind of intimate forest lake that defines the quiet heart of eastern Finland. Part of the Vuoksi drainage basin, Torvinen sits at 99.6 meters elevation with nearly 5 kilometers of shoreline — a compact setting ideal for fishing, a swim, or simply soaking up the stillness of the Finnish countryside.
