Huai Chak Nok
Huai Chak Nok (also written Huai Sak Nok) is a freshwater reservoir of roughly 1,400 rai, fringed by shady trees and low green hills, set just a few kilometres inland from Na Jomtien and the bustle of Pattaya. Locals treat it as a backyard retreat: a place for an easy morning walk, an evening cycle, a picnic by the water, or a quiet sit to watch the sky open over the lake. Its standout moment comes in the cool season, from November to February, when tens of thousands of migratory birds—waterfowl, swifts and egrets—gather on the open water and the banks, turning a calm reservoir into a lively wetland spectacle that draws birders and photographers.
