Jolića Vodenica
Jolića Vodenica (the Jolić Water Mill) is a working, three-century-old water mill standing on the Kolubara River beside the town of Lajkovac in central Serbia. The last survivor of some 27 mills that once lined the river between Valjevo and Obrenovac, it is one of the largest and best-preserved water mills in the country, still turning seven stone grinding wheels. For visitors it is a rare combination of a genuine, still-operating heritage workshop and a quiet riverside escape: the creak of the water wheel, the smell of fresh stone-ground flour, and a tidy bank on the Kolubara where locals gather to slow down and watch the water run.
