AT A GLANCE
Why go?
Plaża Ostrowąs is a small, easy-going beach on Lake Ostrowąs (Jezioro Ostrowąs), a shallow glacial lake tucked beside the village of Ostrowąs in the Kujawy countryside of north-central Poland. It is the kind of place locals and passing families head to on a hot day: a strip of sand, a pier to sun yourself or dangle over the water, a handful of water toys to borrow, and far more peace and quiet than the crowded resort beaches elsewhere in the region.↗↗↗
The draw here is a relaxed, low-key lake day rather than a built-up seaside experience. The water is warm and shallow enough for paddling and a cooling dip, the setting is open rural landscape, and the little beach sits within walking distance of the village's Marian sanctuary—so a swim and a visit to one of Kujawy's quieter pilgrimage sites fit neatly into the same outing.↗↗↗
