AT A GLANCE
Why go?
Jabbi Dam is a small irrigation reservoir tucked into the rural landscape of Attock District in Punjab, Pakistan, roughly an hour's drive west of Islamabad. Completed in 1991, the dam stands about 11 metres tall and holds nearly 3.4 million cubic metres of water, feeding a canal that irrigates more than 1,200 acres of farmland. Today it has become a quietly popular weekend spot for local families seeking open sky, a sheet of water, and the unhurried scenery of the Potohar plateau.↗↗↗↗
Visitors praise the dam for its natural beauty and peaceful atmosphere, making it a well-rated destination (4.6 out of 5 on Google Maps) for picnics, family outings, and evening strolls. The setting is spare and authentic — no ticket booths, no crowds — just farmland, hills, and water shaped by monsoon rains.↗↗
