AT A GLANCE
Why go?
The Alagadi Festival Area is an outdoor event ground on Northern Cyprus's northern coast, just east of Kyrenia (Girne), best known as the home of Alagadi Fest — a three-day summer music and culture festival that draws thousands each August. Set beside the Alagadi nature reserve beach, one of the Mediterranean's most important green turtle nesting sites, the venue combines open-air concerts, folk dance, fire shows, food stalls and craft markets in a seaside setting that feels both festive and quietly wild.↗↗↗
What Is Alagadi Fest?
Organised by the Çatalköy-Esentepe Municipality, Alagadi Fest has grown since its inception into one of Northern Cyprus's biggest annual open-air celebrations. Now in its fourth year, the festival typically takes place in early August across three evenings, filling the specially designated area with a packed programme of concerts, dance performances, and family-friendly events. Past headliners have included Turkish pop stars İrem Derici and Melek Mosso, alongside live bands such as Grup REVA and Grup RAST.↗
