This is a really nice resort with really excellent staff. We were greeted by Cliff, who was extremely helpful and looked after us multiple times during our stay. We stayed in a Landela tent, which is very comfortable but can be a bit warm on a hot day. The outdoor shower (private) is a nice touch. We had breakfast included which was very nice and also ate at the restaurant a couple of times for dinner which was very tasty and very good value (try the special chicken with peri peri and nshima). We also did a river safari with the Hotel, which was a much better experience than on the bigger boat we also did. Seek out Kevin the Cat (a guide) for any advise you need. He’s very helpful.

A very good lodge well maintained. Beautiful surrounding. Great views. A lot of wildlife during our stay (Elephants, Crocs, Hippos, Monkeys, Birds). Very good lunch and dinner - Breakfast not great (please propose more choices of jams and better ones and better fruit juices). Please do more patrols for the elephants into the lodge - we were stuck in the room for over an hour to let them finish their dinner right in front of our chalet ! And we stumbled upon one litterally after dinner at (too) close distance. Finally, I recommend you to really improve your website, the lodge is much better than what it seems: really nice views, nice rooms (for the family chalet, the tents are more basic but really ok), and the lodge can arrange a lot more of activities than what you may think (tours, taxis, ....). That being said, I do recommend the lodge. Good value for money (for Zambia) and great experiences with very nice people, very reliable. Thank you for this amazing experience.

Situated right on the maramba River. What a beautiful place. One can see elephant hippo and crocodile from the dining deck. It is absolutely amazing. The rooms are fully equipped with everything you need. The staff are so friendly and very helpful. The riverboat tour captains offer facts about wildlife that are very unique, and the boat is comfortable and very well equipped. I had a wonderful time and will definitely return!

Here is a properly written version of your review: Disappointing Experience at Maramba River Lodge This was our first visit to Maramba River Lodge, and unfortunately, it turned out to be a major disappointment. Given the price we paid, we expected a certain standard of service, but that was far from what we experienced. To begin with, we requested vegetarian sandwiches, only to be told, "Sorry sir, we don't have cheese." Considering it's the cold season, it is reasonable to expect basic heating arrangements—such as heaters or charcoal—in any hospitality establishment. However, when we inquired, we were informed that there was no charcoal available, and although a gas heater was present, we were told there was no gas either. We also called for a security guard, but no one showed up for nearly two to three hours. Every time we raised a concern, the response was the same: "Sorry sir, we don't have. Apologies." It felt as though we were paying just to hear apologies rather than receive any real service or solution. To make matters worse, there was no supervisor or manager on-site to address our grievances. Overall, this was a deeply unsatisfactory experience, and we would not recommend this lodge to anyone looking for a comfortable and well-managed stay.

Spent 2 nights at the lodge. Infrastructure is nice and fairly clean. In comparison to the amount charged K3900/night I rate it as about. There was lack of professionalism in guest services, room cleaning was substandard, the last night there was a rat in the room and staff members were making unnecessary loud discussions. And the lodge is located near Maramba river, not Zambezi river. There is a need for significant improvement in guest service delivery.

Really disappointing experience. During breakfast, we asked for a cheese sandwich, but the staff told us they had no cheese. Later, because of the cold weather, we requested a heater, and they said they had no gas to operate it. These are basic amenities that guests would expect. Considering the price we paid, the overall service was very disappointing and definitely not worth the money. I expected a much better experience.

Beautiful riverside location. Separate tent structures that are very comfortable. Excellent bed and AC. Riverside restaurant with great views. Short taxi ride to Victoria Falls.
