I absolutely loved my stay at Hotel Zoo Berlin. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. We had asked if it might be possible to check in early since our flight landed in the morning. When we reached the hotel at around 10:45 a.m., we were pleasantly surprised to hear that our room was already ready. It was a wonderful start to our stay. The hotel itself is beautiful. It has an understated elegance that feels both luxurious and welcoming. Every corner of the property is thoughtfully designed, with interiors that are stylish, sophisticated, and full of character without being over the top. Breakfast was another highlight. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely looked after every guest. The breakfast room has a real wow factor—elegant, refined, and beautifully designed. It felt more like dining in a stylish restaurant than the typical business-style breakfast room you often find in many five-star hotels. Our room was spacious, beautifully appointed, and thoughtfully designed. It struck the perfect balance between comfort and sophistication, making it a pleasure to come back to after a day of exploring Berlin. Overall, Hotel Zoo Berlin exceeded my expectations. It combines outstanding service, elegant design, and a relaxed atmosphere that made us feel at home. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again the next time I'm in Berlin.|Overall, I had a wonderful stay and appreciated the hotel's commitment to quality. One area that could be improved is the noise from the rooftop bar. In the evenings, the music could be heard quite clearly from our room, which made it a little difficult to fully relax. Better soundproofing or lowering the music volume later at night would enhance the guest experience, especially for those staying on the upper floors. Other than that, I have no suggestions for improvement and would happily stay at Hotel Zoo Berlin again.

For a hotel in this price tier, the service was surprisingly rigid. Instead of being accommodating and finding guest-friendly solutions, they rely heavily on strict policies. As a side note, it was also annoying to be charged a high City Tax on site that wasn't transparently communicated during the booking process. Overall, not recommended for the price

My husband and I visited hotel zoo for 1 night in June. We were at the end of a charity cycle and so our check in included 2 large road bike bags plus cases. Jonas met us with a warm welcome and personally helped us with where to park and with our outsized luggage. Once all checked in, he suggested a perfect Italian restaurant just a short distance away. Our flight home to London was much later after checkout but he stored our luggage so we could enjoy an afternoon of sightseeing. When we returned in the early evening to retrieve our luggage and await our taxi, Jonas greeted us warmly again, asked for our feedback on the restaurant from the night before and ensured we had everything we needed before we left for the airport. I would highly recommend this hotel but especially because of the service we received from front of house, Jonas. Thankyou for your care and attention.

I recently stayed at Hotel Zoo Berlin for three nights during my trip to Berlin, and I had a wonderful experience from start to finish. The staff was exceptionally professional, helpful, and insightful throughout my stay. From check-in to check-out, the team made everything feel smooth and welcoming. I also want to recognize the housekeeping staff and the breakfast/dining team, who helped make the experience even more enjoyable. The hotel itself is beautiful. The grounds, lobby, amenities, and rooms all create a stylish, comfortable, and upscale atmosphere. It truly feels like a posh home away from home, especially after spending the day out in the city. It was the perfect place to return to, relax, reset, and recharge. I highly recommend checking out the breakfast, which was a great part of the stay. The location is also excellent, with plenty of great restaurants, shopping, and attractions within walking distance. It worked perfectly as a hub for my trip. I was in Berlin for the System of a Down concert, and I also appreciated how secure and safe the hotel felt throughout my stay. Overall, Hotel Zoo Berlin exceeded my expectations, and I look forward to staying here again on my next trip to Berlin.

I have been coming to Hotel Zoo for more than 10 years, and it remains my absolute favorite place to stay in Berlin. The location is perfect, the interior design is stunning, and the vibe is unmatched. The restaurant and bar are fantastic, and their rooftop terrace in the summer is a brilliant bonus.|What keeps me returning year after year is the exceptional service. The entire staff is always super friendly and incredibly accommodating—in over a decade of stays, I have never had a single bad experience.|A special shoutout goes to Jonas at reception, who always goes above and beyond to be super helpful and provide stellar service. If you are looking for a flawless, high-quality stay in Berlin, this is it!

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this hotel. I paid more than €300 per night for Room 126, but the noise from the bar was unacceptable. Loud music continued late into the evening, making it very difficult to relax or sleep. At this price level, I expect proper sound insulation or at least clear information that some rooms are affected by bar noise. The room itself was fine, but the excessive noise completely ruined the experience. I would not stay here again unless this issue is resolved.

Featured in the movie, Funeral in Berlin, Hotel Zoo has been given an original style with a striking dining room and bar areas. Although in a lively shopping area, it was calm and quiet. The rooms are clean, well designed and comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff make this an idea hotel for visiting Berlin.

Hotel Zoo Berlin, where style meets substance Berlin has no shortage of hotels, but Hotel Zoo stands out and genuinely feels like it’s in a league of its own. From the moment you walk in, you feel it. Dark wood, candlelight, an open fireplace in the lobby, surrounded by curated objects and artistic details. It’s a five star hotel that actually has real personality. The Room I stayed in a Grand Deluxe room, and it’s genuinely spacious. There’s a proper entrance hallway leading into both the bathroom and the main bedroom. The bed is huge and features a beautiful tufted velvet headboard, framed by deep burgundy curtains and warm lighting. The bathroom includes a bathtub and all essential amenities. Everything feels intentional and stylish without being overdone. The hotel is incredibly quiet too, which meant I slept really well. It’s the kind of room where you actually want to spend time, not just crash for the night. Fitness The gym is small, but what impressed me is how thoughtfully it’s equipped. They added 30kg Hammer Strength dumbbells, which is a big upgrade since their usual Technogym rack only goes up to 22kg. There’s also a barbell with a separate plate rack, so you can train properly with compound movements. A preacher curl bench is included, which I really like. On top of that, there’s a multifunctional machine for chest, back, and legs. Most hotel gyms stop at a treadmill, a bike, and light dumbbells. This one has that too, but goes further by investing in real strength equipment. For a city hotel with limited space, it’s clear someone actually understood what matters. You can get a proper workout in here, not just cardio. Breakfast Is Incredible The breakfast buffet is excellent, with a wide selection of fresh cold cuts, smoked salmon, fruit, pastries, all beautifully presented. On top of that, you can order hot dishes like eggs any style or pancakes directly to your table, all included. Soft boiled eggs, roasted potatoes, and fresh juices are also part of the buffet. I was able to build a perfect high protein breakfast without compromise. Once you’re seated, they serve a carafe of water infused with mint, cucumber, and lemon, which is perfect for hydration in the morning. Overall The vibe is warm, stylish, and welcoming without feeling pretentious. The staff are genuinely attentive. My razor battery died and I forgot the charger, one quick call to reception and five minutes later I had a neatly packed cloth bag with a new razor and shaving foam. The ground floor is stunning, and you’ll likely find yourself spending more time in the lobby than planned. Hotel Zoo Berlin is easily one of the best hotels in Berlin and my personal favorite in the city. Highly recommended.
